Herefords represented at 2013 Midland Bull Test

A strong set of bulls represented the Herefords at this year’s test. The Herefords are slated to sell on April 4.

Hereford ADG leaders

Leading the Herefords was lot 1107 with an ADG of 114. The bull, sired by Schu-lar On Target 22S was consigned by Craig Herefords of Phippsburg, Colo., has EPDs of BW 2.6 WW 55 M 25 YW 97.

Also a Schu-lar On Target 22S son consigned by Craig Herefords was the second place lot 1108, with an ADG 112. The bull has EPDs of BW 2.9 WW 51 M 22 YW 88.

Locust Hill Farm of Middleburg, Va. consigned the third high ADG bull, lot 1104, for the Herefords with an ADG of 111. The MSU TCF Revolution 4R son has EPDs of BW 3.3 WW 59 M 29 YW 93.

Hereford WDA leaders

Three sons of Schu-lar On Target 22S, all consigned by Craig Herefords of Phippsburg, Colo. topped the WDA leaderboard for the Herefords

Lot 1107 also led with a 3.18. The bulls posted EPDs of BW 2.6 WW 55 M 25 YW 97.

With a WDA of 3.09, lot 1108 has EPDs of BW 2.9 WW 51 M 22 YW 88.

Lot 1109, with a WDA of 2.98, has EPDs of BW 3.1 WW 55 M 25 YW 96.

Hereford ADG Sire Group leaders

Schu-lar On Target 22S’s three sons, lots 1107, 1108 and 1109, took top honors for both ADG sire group and WDA sire group. The bulls, consigned by Craig Herefords of Phippsburg, Colo. had an ADG ratio of 2.95 and a WDA of 3.08.
