2015 Ag Hall of Fame Nominations open!
Each year, the Wyoming Livestock Roundup recognizes two Wyoming citizens or couples for their involvement in the state’s agriculture industry by inducting them into the Wyoming Agriculture Hall of Fame. Started in 1992, the Hall of Fame has honored 52 Wyomingites to date.
Last year’s inductees were Frank Moore and Mary “Mickey” Thoman.
“There are a lot of good people in Wyoming who a done a lot for their communities and the ag industry in this state,” says Roundup Publisher Dennis Sun. “Any rancher who knows someone that fits these characteristics should fill out a nomination form and send it in.”
Nomination forms are available by clicking here or contacting the Roundup at 307-234-2700 or roundup@wylr.net.
“It is really important to recognize all of Wyoming’s hardworking citizens for their work,” Sun continues. “We honor Wyoming’s agriculture industry by honoring them.”
After nominations are submitted, a panel of three independent judges will be selected to review applications and select the winners. Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at the Wyoming Ag Hall of Fame picnic, scheduled to be held on Aug. 12. At the picnic, nominees will receive a commemorative poster and belt buckle.
